Hosting the Pirae Va'a Canoe Club on Molokai
Sunday, September 28, 2003 -Race Day!

On Sunday, we had a very early breakfast and left Pirae Va'a Headquarters by 5:15am headed for the Hale O Lono Harbor. The women were totally focused. We both were trying to contain our emotions because we would miss each others. What a choice week of love and aloha. Sharing of our hearts and culture.

Wearing their team uniform... preparing and getting ready for the Kaiwi Channel... 40 plus miles...

Mahalo to Noa and Tarrah for doing an outstanding job in organzing the hosting for our dear friends. Mahalo to Uncle Herb and Aunty Julia for their love and aloha as always. The setting of their beach front home and food preparation. Mahalo to Brudda George Gramberg who came early in the morning to help with the breakfasts and a couple of dinners!

Final results. Out of 72 canoes, our Tahiti friends placed 13th. We are so looking forward to next year, Sept. 26th, 2004.

Mahalo to our ohana from Tahiti. Brudda Roy and Faithy have come to love all of the team like out own daughters.....Until next year we say... "iorana!"
