| Hosting the Pirae Va'a Canoe Club on Molokai Thursday, Uncle Herb's Special Imu |

We had a wonderful week together with our friends from Tahiti. We met daily for our meals and in the evening after consuming our very delicious meal prepared by Uncle Herb Hoe, we sat down and got our guitar and ukeleles out and sang the night away. The music of Tahiti is so wonderful and soothing to the ears. On Thursday, Uncle Herb's Special Imu which is covered by plywood, a
carpet and picnic table was placed into action. Everything we ate that
evening was cooked in the imua....our chicken luau stew, kalo, ulu,
sweet potato and a large uhu and some mid sized menpachis. We waited
for the team to arrive at 6:30pm and they uncovered the imu and brought
out the food to the serving tables. |
