The Arizona to Virgina Trek by Kelii, Mahea and Chaicey Boy

After two successful years at the Yavapai College playing baseball and making the Junior College All America 2nd Team as a short stop, Kelii had a choice between Oregon Tech, Idaho State and Bluefield College in Virginia.

Bluefield College has a great baseball program and the FULL SCHOLARSHIP offer with all housing, books, etc. made it all to inviting. Instead of flying up, this little family thought to make it exciting, they would drive from Glendate Arizona through Albequerque, New Mexico, Amarillo-Texas, Oklahoma City, via Little Rock-Arkansas, Nashiville-Tenn., Salem-North Carolina, and into Virgina. Total trek taking four days.

The Trek Estimate Statistics:
*- distance: 2,080 miles.
*- driving time: 36 hours.
Start on Aug. 20th, 2003 at 6pm.

Best yet, via our Nextel Nationwide Direct Connect, Mahea has been able to click her phone and speak to us instantaneously! It is just awesome. Faithy and I have been keeping the times and tracking their travel! Kelii's parents, Bobo & Melody flew up to assist them with the driving, both day and night. Of course, resting the car every so often.
