Iaoranna Tahiti!!! Roy & Faithy's Tahiti Trip - November 1-9, 2003 Faithy and I enoyed the Pirae Va'a Women Canoe Team's Moloka'i visit this year for the Na Wahine O Ke Kai Race! We were privileged to meet Yves and Teiva of Radio! Tahiti who stayed with us and we decided to take their offer and journey to Tahiti to learn about their culture and their present day way of life. We had a wonderful trip on Hawaiian Air which took about five hours! We arrived close to Mid Nite and our wonderful friends were waiting for us! We got ourselves situated at Yves beautiful home and got up the next morning, ready to attend church. We did so much in a short time. Mahalo to all of our friends in Tahiti for making us feel so "honored and loved." |

On Sunday, we attended the Papeete II Ward and we had the privilege to
meet Pres. Welsh, the Mission President and Pres. Munanui, the Papeete
Temple President. The people were so cordial and friendly to us. We
were also able to meet one of the most "talented artist in French
Polynesia" Eriki Marchand who is serving as a counselor in the Papeete
II Ward Bishopric. |

After church, we went to the Harbor with Yves who had an assignment to
interview Raphaela De Gullio, the women who windsurfed from Peru to
Tahiti which took her 89 days. It was quite an accomplishment and she
received a royal welcome. |
