27th Na Wahine O Ke Kai Molokai to Oahu Canoe Race
September 25, 2005 -the 41-mile crossing from Molokai to Duke Kahanamoku Beach in Waikiki. The all-women's race is considered the world championship of long-distance canoe paddling, and had a record 71 crews entered this year.

The women arrived on Moloka'i on Saturday, Sept. 24th and from there, we developed new friendships while giving them the special "Aloha Spirit" of Moloka'i. Three of the women were paddling the channel for the first time.

The seas were flat with no wind and no surf. It was a gruelling race that took them seven hours to complete. All in all, it was a victory for all.  Team Bradley, the early favorites, comprising of a group of selected paddlers who trained individually came together to pull in off in less then six hours.
